Seperti yang dilansir oleh CrackBerry (6/8), WhatsApp kini melansir sebuah fitur baru untuk layanannya. Fitur ini adalah pesan suara yang bisa diakses para pengguna di iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, dan Windows Phone.
Adapun fitur ini sendiri disediakan secara langsung tanpa harus update aplikasi. Namun, keberadaannya terbatas untuk beberapa perangkat saja.
Menurut CrackBerry, fitur ini tak mirip dengan BBM Voice yang disediakan BlackBerry. Hal ini terlihat dari tampilan dan suara yang dihasilkan.
"Ketika pengguna memasuki sebuah chat, di sebelah kiri layar akan disediakan ikon mikrofon. Pengguna bisa menekannya dan menahan untuk merekam suara mereka sebelum dilepas dan dikirim secara langsung ke lawan bicara," tulis CrackBerry.

Dilansir dari Softpedia (1/8), WhatsApp dengan versi 2.11.12 ini membawa beberapa fitur baru, salah satunya kemampuan untuk mengirim lebih dari foto sekaligus.
Dalam versi sebelumnya, pengguna hanya dapat mengirim satu foto dalam satu kali kirim. Selain itu, dalam update terbaru ini, pengguna dapat mengirim pesan broadcast hingga ke 50 penerima.
Perubahan lain dalam update terbaru ini termasuk setting auto-download media dan beberapa perbaikan bug. Selain itu nada notifikasi dan tampilan emoji juga mendapat perbaikan.
