Jakarta - Layanan messaging BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) yang semula eksklusif untuk handset BlackBerry telah dipastikan akan menyambangi ponsel iPhone dan Android. Seperti apa penampilan BBM di Android pun telah bocor.

Media teknologi BGR menerima bocoran screenshot BBM yang sedang berjalan di handset Samsung Galaxy S III. Memang hanya berupa start screen, namun setidaknya bisa jadi gambaran seperti apa BBM di Android nantinya.

Media BlackBerryOS.com juga mengabarkan versi beta BBM untuk Android dan iOS sudah bisa dicoba secara terbatas oleh user yang terpilih. Mereka juga menampilkan seperti apa screenshotnya.

dari MacRumors, Jumat (2/8/2013), BBM dikabarkan mendarat di toko aplikasi Gogle Play dan App Store bulan September. User Android dan iOS pun tinggal mengunduh untuk memakainya.

Belum jelas apa syarat pengguna Android dan iOS agar bisa menggunakan BBM. Apakah tetap memerlukan PIN atau cukup dengan nomor telepon atau email? Masih perlu ditunggu.

BBM untuk Android dan iOS Sudah Masuk BlackBerry Beta Zone

Kabar gembira lagi bagi para penanti kehadiran aplikasi BBM di Android. Setelah muncul sebuah bocoran foto tampilan BBM untuk Android di ponsel Samsung Galaxy S III, kali ini BlackBerry secara resmi merilis berita bahwa mereka sudah menyelesaikan pembuatan BBM untuk Android dan iOS.

Beberapa anggota BlackBerry Beta Zone mengatakan bahwa mereka telah menerima email dari BlackBerry yang berisi kabar bahwa mereka telah dapat mendownload aplikasi BBM untuk Android dan iOS saat ini juga. Hal ini berarti, pengetesan tahap lanjut sedang dilakukan untuk memastikan tidak ada bug yang mengganggu saat BBM untuk Android dan iOS ini dirilis secara resmi.

BBM untuk Android mensyaratkan perangkat dengan sistem operasi Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich atau lebih tinggi. Sedangkan BBM untuk iOS mensyaratkan iPhone dengan iOS 6 atau lebih tinggi.

Motorola Droid Mini dengan harga Rp 1 juta

Selain Droid Ultra, Motorola juga memperkenalkan smartphone terbaru lainnya, yakni Droid Mini.

Dikutip dari Engadget (23/7), Motorola Droid Mini memiliki layar mungil, yaitu 4,3inci. Meski tergolong kecil dari jajaran smartphone Droid terbaru, namun ukuran ini masih lebih besar dari iPhone.

Motorola sepertinya mengikuti trend dengan merilis smartphone mini seperti vendor-vendor lain yang mulai banyak melakukan hal seperti itu. 

Rencananya, smartphone mini ini akan diluncurkan ke pasaran pada 28 Agustus dengan harga USD 100 dolar, atau setara dengan Rp 1 juta saja.
