Seperti yang dilansir oleh CrackBerry (6/8), WhatsApp kini melansir sebuah fitur baru untuk layanannya. Fitur ini adalah pesan suara yang bisa diakses para pengguna di iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, dan Windows Phone.
Adapun fitur ini sendiri disediakan secara langsung tanpa harus update aplikasi. Namun, keberadaannya terbatas untuk beberapa perangkat saja.
Menurut CrackBerry, fitur ini tak mirip dengan BBM Voice yang disediakan BlackBerry. Hal ini terlihat dari tampilan dan suara yang dihasilkan.
"Ketika pengguna memasuki sebuah chat, di sebelah kiri layar akan disediakan ikon mikrofon. Pengguna bisa menekannya dan menahan untuk merekam suara mereka sebelum dilepas dan dikirim secara langsung ke lawan bicara," tulis CrackBerry.
BBM lintas platform sendiri kabarnya akan dirilis pada September ini. Ini merupakan salah satu aplikasi chatting yang ternyata banyak ditunggu-tunggu kedatangannya baik oleh para pengguna smartphone maupun penyedia aplikasi chat.
