Vibe Max will be the first android Lenovo using the stylus

Yesterday was revealed the news that Lenovo will release a smartphone of 5 pieces at MWC 2015 grand event, namely X3 Vibe, Vibe S1, P1 Vibe, Vibe P1 Pro, and Vibe Shot. But apparently Lenovo not only plans to reveal five but six devices, where the latter is expected to be called Vibe Max.

This was revealed thanks to the site from Thailand, MXPhone, reveal that Vibe Max will be the device with the largest display among smartphones to be released. A device with a 6-inch screen size will offer Quad HD resolution that is 1440x2560piksel. Interestingly, it was revealed that the Vibe Max will be the first Lenovo device equipped with a stylus pen (to be referred to AnyPen).

Ini dia orang yang membuat mesin pencari memex

Jakarta - Nama Christopher White belakangan santer terdengar di dunia maya. Ia adalah program manager di Defence Advance Research Projects Agency (DARPA) yang mengetuai proyek Memex, sebuah mesin pencari untuk Dark Web.

Memex sebenarnya adalah singkatan dari memory dan index. Mesin pencari ini bisa mengindeks (mengumpulkan) informasi-informasi dari bagian internet yang tak terjamah oleh mesin pencari konvensional seperti Google dan Bing, yaitu Dark Web.

Nama Memex sendiri diambil White dari sebuah artikel yang dipublikasikan pada tahun 1945 di The Atlantic, yang berjudul 'As We May Think', demikian dilansir detikINET dari Upstart, Rabu (18/2/2015).

Penulis artikel tersebut memprediksikan sebuah alat pada masa yang akan datang, dimana bisa membuat penggunanya mencari memori, dan menurutnya nama yang cocok untuk alat tersebut adalah Memex.

Sebelum membuat Memex, White adalah orang yang membuat dan menjalankan proyek DARPA lain bernama XDATA, yang merupakan bagian dari inisiatif Big Data yang dicanangkan oleh Barrack Obama.

Ia juga adalah pembuat Open Catalog, sebuah alat yang bisa mengorganisir dan memfasilitasi akses ke aplikasi dan publikasi open source yang didanai oleh pemerintah AS.

Sebelum jadi salah satu peneliti di agensi milik Departemen Pertahanan Amerika Serikat itu, White pernah menjadi staf khusus komandan NATO International Security Assistance Force. White juga adalah bekas bos DARPA di Afghanistan.

Setelah menyelesaikan tugasnya di Afghanistan, Ia menjadi bagian dari tim yang mendapat penghargaan dari Leon Panetta, yang saat itu menjabat sebagai Menhan AS. Atas jasa-jasanya sebagai staf pendukung di medan perang, White dianugerahi Joint Meritorious Unit Award.

Motorola Attack Behind Apple

JAKARTA -Recently, Apple's design boss Jonathan Ive indirectly insinuating policy Motorola phone designs. Without naming names, insinuating Ive phone vendors that allow potential buyers to design their own phones through its website.

Ive vendor is certainly Motorola with its Moto Maker. On their website, the prospective purchase it can choose the color, and even the material to be used as the back cover of the phone they would buy.

"What they offer is, 'Make (phone) is as you please. You can choose the color that you want'. But I think it's like releasing your responsibility as a designer," Ive snapped when interviewed The New Yorker, Friday (02/20/2015 ).

Not remain silent, President and COO of Motorola Rick Osterloh defensive over that Ive statement. "Our opinion is that the user must take part in the product design process," Osterloh said as quoted by the BBC, Friday (20/02/2015).

He also reply by saying that Apple's Ive too greedy in seeking profit by selling their products at a price that is very expensive.

"We see a dichotomy (two opposing groups-red) in the market, where there is Apple's huge profits, and sell their products at a price like crazy. We think it is not the future," said Osterloh.

The future according to Osterloh is where the phone can provide a similar experience, could be sold at an affordable price.

"Mobile phones are great and a great mobile internet experience, should not a luxury that must be redeemed at a price expensive. This is an easy choice for everyone," added Osterloh.

Samsung Acquires Provider of Mobile Payment LoopPay, Compete with Apple Pay?

Samsung announced that it has agreed to acquire LoopPay. Unfortunately, both LoopPay and Samsung has not provided information related to the nominal of the acquisition.

Founded in Boston back in 2012, LoopPay itself is a company focusing on mobile payment systems. The product is a direct competitor of Apple Pay. Technology payment / mobile payment developed have been equipped with a magnetic strip card reader and "contactless-receiver".

As part of the acquisition agreement, the founders and experts in the payments industry veteran LoopPay, Graylin and George Wallner will join Samsung's mobile division.

The two companies have worked together well even before the acquisition, so that mobile payment LoopPay likely be pinned on Samsung Galaxy S6 come.

LoopPay will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of Samsung, LoopPay team will continue to work to create the latest technology to download the transition from physical payment system with payment solutions that truly advanced digital.
