Samsung Acquires Provider of Mobile Payment LoopPay, Compete with Apple Pay?




Samsung announced that it has agreed to acquire LoopPay. Unfortunately, both LoopPay and Samsung has not provided information related to the nominal of the acquisition.

Founded in Boston back in 2012, LoopPay itself is a company focusing on mobile payment systems. The product is a direct competitor of Apple Pay. Technology payment / mobile payment developed have been equipped with a magnetic strip card reader and "contactless-receiver".

As part of the acquisition agreement, the founders and experts in the payments industry veteran LoopPay, Graylin and George Wallner will join Samsung's mobile division.

The two companies have worked together well even before the acquisition, so that mobile payment LoopPay likely be pinned on Samsung Galaxy S6 come.

LoopPay will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of Samsung, LoopPay team will continue to work to create the latest technology to download the transition from physical payment system with payment solutions that truly advanced digital.
